@Kautilya3: While I agree with the WP:INDISCRIMINATE policy, but the stand-alone list 'List of Kashmiri Pandits' was merged here. So what might me the other option to list them? I can't see any merge request nor any list under the original title. If there was good reason to delete it, the list could perhaps go into List of Kashmiri people. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 12:35, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Kautilya3: I'm sure something like this was there. I've edited that article before I took the break. Perhaps deleted and recreated as a redirect, or may be with a slightly different title. In the article it is wriiten that kashmiri pandits lived in the kashmir valley and after muslim influence they converted their religion which is absolutely wrong , rather they were forced to convert and if they resisted they were brutally tortured and murdered in the worst way possible ,not even children were spared . Also they were forced to leave kashmir and 95% houses were looted , but here only exodus is mentioned but not killings,torture, or even the genocide . So it's my request, that it would be better to change it as the information in this article is incorrect.It would have been better if someone who really had knowledge about this wrote this article. The page is full of propaganda sources

The current version of the page appears to include exaggerated or inconsistent figures regarding the Kashmiri Hindu population, particularly post-9/11, when a lot of narratives were influenced by global concerns around terrorism. According to the 1981 Indian Census, the Hindu population in the Kashmir Valley was approximately 124,078, yet the page claims figures between 300,000 to 600,000, which are not supported by official census data. Also 1941 census recorded around 85,000 Hindus in the valley.

These inconsistencies should be corrected with proper citations to maintain neutrality and historical accuracy. As someone from the region, I’m concerned about potential bias and don’t feel safe making direct edits myself, especially given the sensitive nature of the topic and the risk of online targeting. It would be better if neutral editors preferably from outside the conflict zone could help rewrite this page based on verifiable, unbiased sources. Aliyiya5903 (talk) 05:20, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
